It is the end of another year that has seen a lot of projects been either started off or completed both for ourselves and the industry as a whole and long may it continue.
The major project that we have been successfully awarded is a new build unit in warehouse unit in Basildon, comprising of composite roof and built-up wall systems at around 5000 sq. metres floor area. This project has also now started on site with the roof and wall panels happening concurrently. We have also picked up a refurbishment and extension project at Madford Retail Park that requires new roof and wall cladding elements linking into an existing unit.
Work is almost complete now on the 5 schools in Coventry where the Benchmark Evolution panels and aluminium capping and soffit canopies are being finalised. All works will be completed early January for final handover.
The third phase of the building at MAB 1 has been completed for the end of the year and around 2500 sq. metres of Kingspan roof and wall panels have been used. The unit will provide 5 testing facilities for new motor parts and provide both office and warehouse areas.
The project at Heath Park School is one that has been ongoing for most of the year with the main works to the roof comprising of a Kingspan Low Pitch panel, large built in Velux rooflights and all flashing details now being completed. There is a final phase comprising of an acoustic standing seam roof system using Euroclad built-up products, that is due to start in the new year and will complete our works on this project.
The refurbishment on Solihull Retail Park comprising of around 1600 sq. metres of Tata Trisomet and Trima panels and 300 sq. metres of Kingspan benchmark ACM rainscreen panels, all to the new entrance areas has been completed. This was a complicated phased approach that was staggered over the second half of the year between operating trades on an existing retail park. The end result is a striking new front providing 4 new store entrances to match the rest of the Park.
