This quarter was a busy one for securing work for the second half of the year.
We have been awarded two exciting projects in the Midlands, one of which is a 5,000 sq. metre speculative build unit for IM Properties at Birch Coppice, which comprises of all Kingspan composite roof and wall cladding. The main project has started on site with the cladding works commencing in August.
The second exciting project we have been awarded is a new build steel research centre WMG at University of Warwick. The project has around 1300 sq. metres of roofing works and the wall cladding has around 850 sq. metres of Evolution recess panel and 600 sq. metres of Benchmark ACM rainscreen system on the walls.
We have also secured a separate extension at the University of Warwick on the MCBB unit incorporating Kingspan panels and Euroclad DL300 dummy louvre cladding panel system. We have also picked up an extension on Kettering hospital where we’re installing some Kingspan Topdeck panels and 150mm core Micro rib cladding panels. This project was awarded and completed from our works perspective within the quarter.
The second Phase at Kensal Green substation where we are installing around 1000 sq. metres of aluminium mesh façade panels on units clad last year, is now complete. On a tight programme due to the substation going live and site constraints with other works happening, we handed over successfully within the agreed time set out for other works to progress.
The project at Airport Retail Park in Coventry commenced in June. All of the 1300 sq. metres of Topdeck panels have been installed and welded, along with the installation of the new Kingspan barrel vault rooflight. We are soon to start the cladding element which is the Euroclad Elite 51 wall cladding system.
